ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SELECTBOARD
The Town of Readsboro, VT, is seeking a highly qualified and seasoned administrative assistant to assist the Selectboard. The Administrative Assistant serves a pivotal role as part of the Town Management team, providing the administrative component in the Office of the Selectboard, assists the Selectboard in routine matters, and provides necessary information for decision-making in the more complex affairs of the Board.
Readsboro is a small rural town of approximately 805 residents (2000 U.S. Census) located in central southern Vermont on the Green Mountain plateau. Readsboro is located in the Southeastern corner of Bennington County on the Massachusetts state line. It is bordered by six towns: Searsburg, Woodford and Stamford in Bennington County; Whitingham and Wilmington in Windham County; and Monroe in Franklin County, Massachusetts.
Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite required. Knowledge of accounting systems, report writing, research and grant writing experience. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills required.
This position is 15 – 20 hours per week, no benefits; pay commensurate with abilities.

READOPTING THE TOWN PLAN
RFP - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Project Purpose and Scope
Construction of a 40’x60’ pole barn structure for the purpose of storing road sand and salt. Uprights will be 8x8 pressure treated posts The Town will provide and install the concrete blocks for the lower walls. Also attached will be a rough sketch of proposed building (these are not blue prints and are only for establishing the size of structure). The roof will be a trussed roof engineered for this area with a minimum pitch of 6/12, be plywood decked, and covered with metal roofing. Rafters will be spaced no more than 24” on center. There will be 2 louvres on each gable end 3’x3’ minimum. The siding of the structure will be 5/8” pressure treated plywood and extend from the soffit line to the top of the concrete blocks. Fasteners shall be of corrosion resistant material.
