REFUND POLICY:
Due to the nature of our business, refunds should not be needed.  If you feel you need a refund for a duplicate or overpayment, please contact our office as soon as possible and we will look into the matter.  In most cases of overpayment, any balance would be applied to the next bill.

If the payment in question was made by credit card, the amount of the refund will be credited to the card you used.  If you paid by check or cash, your payment will be returned to you on our next payment day.  Payments by check are made no later than the 3rd Thursday of the month.

A law change regarding our Transfer Station rules will take effect on Saturday, July 1st.  The Town of Readsboro is holding an informational meeting Wednesday, June 21st from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.  This meeting is hosted by the Windham Solid Waste Management District. 
ALL ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing will be held on Friday, June 30th, 2017 at 6:30pm, at the Readsboro Central School Resource Room on Phelps Avenue to hear Zoning Permit Application No. 2017-003 for Applicant/Owners Readsboro Hometown Redevelopment, Inc.  Application is being made for a Conditional Use, which requires a Site Plan Review;  A Change of Use from residential to non-residential, and the installation of a sign.  This property is located in the Village District.  This is for construction of a parking lot for access to the Catamount Trail on Route 100.

 

Written Notice has been sent to owners of all properties adjoining this property by Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested.  A copy of the application may be seen at the Town Clerk’s office in Readsboro, VT

                      Notice of vacancy

In accordance with 18 V.S.A. & 5374 the Cemetery Commission herby gives notice of vacancies created by the resignation of one Cemetery Commission member, and one member not seeking re-election.

The Cemetery Commission, pursuant to 18 V.S.A. 5374, will make an appointment to fill these vacancies at a Cemetery Commission meeting in the future. The persons appointed to fill these vacancies will serve until the next annual Town Meeting.

TRANSFER STATION FEE NOTICE

Effective July 1, 2016 the price of the 32gal bag will be increased to $2.00 per bag.  All other fees will remain the same at this time but are subject to change. As always any trash brought to the Readsboro transfer station must be generated in Readsboro.
